As a member of the RSFQ, you have access to numerous advantages:
- Benefit from services offered by the RSFQ including, among others, labour relations support for midwives represented for their working conditions, complementary insurance at competitive prices, member prices for training courses (ESW and Breech Birth), reserved access to certain training courses, etc..;
- Voting rights at meetings (for members with voting rights);
Exclusive and reserved access:
- To information in the Members’ Area of our website, including all reference documents and conditions of practice;
- To the private Facebook community “RSFQ Members”;
- To the member directory.
Exclusive communications:
- Newsletter: information on current events related to midwifery;
- Contracts offer: The RSFQ verifies compliance and distributes all contract offers for the entire province. These offers are also available in the Careers section of the website.
By becoming members of the RSFQ, midwives also become part of the Canadian and International midwifery community and help support the profession. They automatically become members of the Canadian Association of Midwives (CAM) and enjoy the following benefits, among others:
- Reception of the Canadian Journal of Midwifery Research and Practice published by CAM (3 publications/year);
- Voting rights at CAM meetings;
- Receive news from the International Confederation of Midwives (ICM) and CAM by e-mail, including job offers, relevant newsletters and conference updates;
- Access to discounted rates at the annual conference and exhibition.
