May 9, 2023 | As part of the health care reform project, Québec Solidaire deputy Vincent Marissal, the second opposition group’s health care critic, tabled a motion in the National Assembly. This motion, which aims to preserve the gains and the foundations of midwifery in Quebec, was adopted unanimously.

Le Regroupement Les sages-femmes du Québec (RSFQ)
Dedicated to its members
The Regroupement Les sages-femmes du Québec (RSFQ) is the professional association of midwives in Quebec. The association is dedicated to the development of the profession and defends the choice of birthplace for women.
Whereas the Quebec College of Midwives oversees the profession, the RSFQ is the official spokesperson for midwives lawfully practising their profession in Quebec with the Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux (MSSS).
